How do I get a Google Wave Invite Code?

Posted by Admin on September 14th, 2009 at 03:13pm

Google took the online world by storm earlier this year when it announced a new product called Google Wave. Google wave includes Gmail, your [Gtalk], Google Docs, social networks, and much more, in one package. And what’s more? In real time! That is, when you make changes to the “wave”, and everyone who is part of the wave is able to see, in real time! It can also be integrated all the waves on the Web page. And a collaborative tool which makes a big work in large projects much easier.

I was very enthusiastic to try to wave groups, are not you? As of now sets Wave is in the development stage, not yet open to the general public. Google plans to give 100,000 calls a public beta on 30 September.

But if you’re a developer and you really want to try the wave of groups outside, here is how you can get on the wave by all groups and try one of the largest communications platform over the Internet than ever before:

1. Go to Google Wave page on code.google.com

2. Click on “Request Sandbox Access” from the menu on the right.

3. Fill in the form on the next page.

4. You will receive an invitation email in about 1-3 weeks. Fill in your account details like desired username, password etc using the link in the email.

5. Within 1-3 days, you will get your sign in details to your Google Wave developer sandbox account.

6. You will receive details for two account, one for the one you requested “username@googlewavesandbox.com” and other a test id (username-test@googlewavesandbox.com) for testing Google Wave’s collaborative features (as only a few people are testing it right now so your friend might not be using it right now for you to be able to test with them).

Done!
